Local mode
In development. This page describes v0.1 draft behaviour. Commands and outputs may change before the first release.
npx autonym-local is intended to run a single-record server on your machine with an implicit
grant to yourself, logging every read. The aim is the fastest way to try Autonym and a complete
answer for a person who never wants a host.
What it does not do
Local mode is not planned to be Core-conformant, and is intended to say so in its discovery document: no authorisation server, no handles that resolve from outside, no delegation. The reference server is for when you need any of those.
Import and export
autonym-local import <file> and autonym-local export are intended to use the same open format
as the hosted service, so a local record can move to a host later with no loss.
