A12. Recipient registry and trust
Status: informative placeholder for a capability reserved for 2.0. It carries no requirements. Document version 1.0-draft-1.
The Trust capability, registry tiers, signed registry attestations and registry-mediated governance are reserved for a later version. A future registry extension would need to specify issuer trust, verification, expiry, suspension, appeal, purge evidence and independent assessment before certification claims could become valid. Trust certification is outside v1, with no issued certificates.
The version 1 rules this chapter stated in edition 0.2-draft now live in A2.1 (registries and trust evidence), A6.8 (client standing) and A17.6 (self-declaration), with their check ids unchanged.
