Emergency cards are outside the v1 interoperable capability set. The future design direction is an explicitly person-selected clinical subset carried using a separately verified health-link standard. That work would need to establish clinical mappings, offline disclosure, key distribution, expiry, revocation limitations, consent and device access before release. This draft does not invent a SMART Health Link or IPS wire format or claim compliance with those standards. Clinical interoperability and offline-card acceptance are outside v1 scope.
The version 1 rules this chapter stated in edition 0.2-draft now live in A6.8 (safety and medical purposes) and A17.6 (experimental emergency cards), with their check id unchanged.
